Design Direction:
Inspired by Tokyo's edgy youth, Harajuku reflect both nature and metropoitan chaos. Delicate, yet bold cherry blossoms are dramatically scaled for a striking stamped effect. Artistically mixed materials and feminine Bohemia collide in an explosion of techniques.
Key Fabrics: cotton sateen, silk dupioni
Accents: self piping, iridescent embroidery, memory fabric
Trim: opulent tassels, pearl beads, floral corsages
Experience Gained:
Developed 2D art and translated it across several forms.
Primary contact for factories overseas on all matters concerning sampling and production.
Worked closely with creative director regarding design needs.
Traveled with team members to gather seasonal inspiration and identify retail and product trends.
Assisted in photoshoot planning.
